How To: FPV the Right Way with RushMoreMods!! Multi-Post Series on Essentials of FPV!!

FPV = First Person Video

FPV has truly been reinventing the RC Industry as a whole. Remote Control has always been our number one hobby for over 60 years now, but it has suffered a good decline when game consoles hit the market because it allowed us to transport to another dimension and do things we would normally not be able to do in real life.

Enter FPV!!!
Everything we have dream of when we were kids is now becoming a true reality. How many of you had said that soon we are going to be playing videos games but controlling real things. Guess what that day has come, and you have been missing out on the most fun you can have while still wearing pants.

With Remote Control Models, like Flying Wings, Replica Planes and Jets, Cars and Boats, we have gotten pretty good at controlling things from the Distance always maintaining a line of sight of what ever we were operating. Its an amazing feeling as it is but creates a lot of limitations that quickly made RC repetitive, plus the learning curve of understanding the position of the model in relation to you and controlling it has become something that not many could overcome.
In the very recent years Multirotors entered the market which was nothing like were were used to, it was very alien like and allowed a lot more people to get into the remote control hobby world as you could do it any where without needing a big open field, the ability to hover with ease quickly became a number one interest.

For some of us that was not enough, we saw the opportunity to trully create the experience we have dream of.

FPV allows you to Virtually place yourself inside of what ever you are driving/ flying in the cockpit and give you control as if you were there.

This is a very very exciting time in the industry and a lot of companies are popping up out of no where trying to get a piece of this huge movement. The problem with that is we have so many inexperienced people attempting at providing services and products they truly have no clue about.

In order to achieve an enjoyable FPV Experience you need to do a TON and i mean a TON of research, because i promise you if you dont the first time you try it, you will either hurt someone badly or you will never see you investment ever again.
Unless you are willing to accept a little help from experienced people like us here who are not after every single dollar in your pocket, but instead building a long term huge community of pilots who will have fun and do it the right away.

We have decided to Do a huge write up on explaining just how complicated and time consuming it can be if you are inexperienced. There has been to many people who have contacted me about our products then turned around and once they had a little bit of info from coming out to fly with us once to buying a kit on ebay and attempting at doing it themselves and the funny thing is 90% of the time they end up spending more money then our Ready TO FLY kits cost before coming back to us to help them figure out what has been going wrong.

RushMoreMods strives on constant persute of ultimate performance at the right price where we can do it and all of our friends as well, at the end of the day its not fun if you can only do it by yourself.

This Series will focus soly on the FPV aspect of the HOBBY

*** 1st Post will Explain the Main Components that SUM a proper FPV platform. AS Well as going more in depth on what we think is the best products for each is and why.
*** 2nd Post will explain the Science and the complexity of what makes FPV Possible. We will help you make an educated decision what kind of FPV set you want or need. Just like with everything else thats great in the world it does not work for everything.  Example: Urban City Flying or Open Fields, etc, Each platform is set up to do its best in that scene but will not do so great in another. Knowing these thins is the most important. Not Knowing means you probably don't have your machine anymore.
*** 3rd Post will be all about Good Practices, if you make sure that you check off everything on the list before you put a bullet in the air and that will always end with a smile on your face and wanting more.

Review: FatShark Dominator v2 (Part 1 of 3)

This review will be broken down into 3 parts: Part 1 = The goggles, Features, thoughts Part 2 = DVR Quality, How to Operate Part 3 = Accessories, Reception Quality Shoot OUT( 3 different Antennas Tested) Hello everyone, i have recently had a chance to enjoy the FPV experience with many different sets of goggles including the FatShark Dominator v2, FatShark Attitude SD, Skyzone Diversity goggles and even the Quanum monitor/goggles DIY set up. In this post i will focus more on the newly updated Dominators, some people call them version 2.2, because the company had made some major changes in the positive direction for these goggles. As stated above i have tried many different solutions for flying FPV. Let me just say get this out of the way, if you are flying via monitor and not goggles you are doing yourself an injustice because your experience is not at all what it should be. There is no other feeling like feeling that you are sitting inside of your little 250 frame zoomin

How To: Action Camera SJ4000: Review and Lens Replacement

Hello so from the previous post you might have noticed that i fancy the SJ4000 camera. From all the research that i had done online it seems like there are people who decided to give this camera a try in search of a Cheaper GoPro Alternative and those people all seems to be extremely happy with their pick. Then there are the people who believe that there is a reason the GoPro is double the money for their least expensive model, and that the SJ4000 is most likely half of the camera, and have never seen the SJ4000 in person. To tell you the truth i was one of those people who thought that there is no way that this camera can be on par with the GoPro and was not really going to consider it for my Airial Video device. Well as i learned the hard way in the RC world its best to buy things that people have used and have positive view on. so my camera budget got sliced in half due to the fact that i needed a new set of motors for my build. Then the SJ4000 became a very appealing unit

Review: FatShark Dominator v2 (Part 2 of 3)

This Portion of the Review will showcase the Quality of the build in DVR Function that outputs to a Micro SD card. I do not think we ever get tired of stressing this to our friends and clients, that to us this feature is of great importance other then its just something else that it can do. This is why we are talking about this prior to showing all hardware option and other things. Having a DVR on the ground side is Extremely Valuable. Very simple scenatio is you were driving home and saw this beautiful place and decided to stop by and explore it with your RMM250 mini quad.  Unfortunatly u chose to disregard our advice on on having a ground based recorded because why waste money on it because it records it in nothing that you would be proud of posting on youtube!. Probobly thought that we were stupid since you already have a mobius recording in HD. Well you start flying then about 250 feet away hit a treebrand and spiral straight down. Then you figure out that ther
